Eh, idk, but you should at least link to the original topic, as it will get updated when/if needed.

Hello, I´m from Mexico, studying Mechatronics Engineering. I´ve got a TI CX a year ago. My university didn´t allowed TI during calculus exams, and I was cool with it. However, now I find myself using integrals and derivatives on a more regular basis throughout most of my classes, and I thought it might be useful to install CAS on my TI CX. So, I was wondering if mine would qualify to do the installation.
TI CX
serial: 2169008177 P-0612E
OS Version: 3.9.0.463
Thanks for the help  :)

Update:
Ok, I just read that A-I models can work, that´s great.
Now I don´t know if I need/can perform a downgrade...

You could install Ndless 3.9 and flash NLaunch(y), there are instructions available for that.
I suggest you to try khicas first, it's free to use, open source and has some more features compared to the Nspire's CAS.

Hi, I have used the tutorial from theascen, and have successfully installed CAS on my non-CAS TI-Nspire CX

I was wondering if I can upgrade my CAS software (currently at 3.1.x) to 4.0.0.235 (the current version which has many improvements over the previous versions), without bricking my device? or losing CAS all together

I've been trying for days to use this exploit on my TI Nspire (not cx) running 3.9.0.43 and when I drag over the nlaunch.tno file to the calculator and confirm that I want to install it one of the following happens. It says "please delete 4kb worth of files to proceed" and the install screen on the computer closes, or it says "calculator is busy" or their is no error and on my computer the loading bar in the installation window stays at about half. I've left it over night on each of these and each time the "operation system not found. Install OS now" prompt on my TI Nspire doesnt go away, and the loading bar doesnt move. Does anyone know what my problem is? Also can anyone post a picture/video of what a proper installation/error message looks like.

Hello, I've followed the guide written by theascen and was successful up to the 8th step, unfortunately, when I try to transfer the nlaunch.tco to the nlaunch folder after deleting the current OS in the calculator I get an error saying that the OS file that I am trying to transfer is corrupted/not valid and nothing happens from here.
I don't know if this matters but currently my software is 3.1.0.392 and the factory number is P-........D
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I've tried to do this multiple times already and always end up running into the same error.

These are the up-to-date tutorial for installing nLaunchy that you should use: https://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=13213 and https://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=11019.
Be wary of unofficial tutorials. Most of them are outdated, and one of them caused some people to brick their calculators.
