MathPrint glitching up
« on: November 10, 2012, 02:09:47 pm »
Hi all. I have  TI-84+ SE. All I have on it is DoorsCS and Axe. Whenever I use mathprint in school for fractions and stuff and press enter to calculate it it always skips down to the middle of the screen. If I were to use a square root in that fraction then the calc would cut out completely and I would get a RAM clear. What seems to be the issue here?  ??? If it helps, I use the homerun feature a lot for Axepaint.

If you like the homerun feature, try zStart. It's 1/3 the size, and has more extra stuff for programming, etc.

Try resetting RAM. If MathPrint works right, then some software you're using is causing the problem. Try resending the OS. If MathPrint works right before running any other software, then the OS may have been corrupted by something using BrandonW's old flash unlock exploit, which is now known to corrupt one particular byte of the OS. (In older OSes, that byte did nothing important, but it does now.)

Indeed, it is a glitch caused by an old flash unlock method (that older versions of Axe use).

I made a patch that will essentially immunize your calculator from this glitch. So run that program and the problem will go away.

You can build a statue out of either 1'x1' blocks or 12'x12' blocks. The 1'x1' blocks will take a lot longer, but the final product is worth it.

Thanks penguin! That did it! Also thanks to parserp I now use zStart and I love it! I have an awesome custom font. (When my teacher asks to use my calc to demonstrate something I may need to turn it off lol)
