My calculator cannot receive a new OS
« on: October 27, 2012, 04:37:19 pm »
I tried sending os 2.43 to my calc, but it failed.  Now my calculator has no os.  Whenver I try downloading os it gets to validation and then error: turn on to turn unit off, then turn back on.  What do I do?  I've tried multiple computers.

Quoting BrandonW from IRC:

22:41 <+BrandonW> Somebody tell that guy to install 2.55MP.
22:41 <+BrandonW> He may be on boot code 1.03.
22:41 <+BrandonW> And then when he's done with that, patch it and install OS 2.43.

Installed 2.55 MP alright.  It turns out the os I had been trying to install was not 2.55 MP at all!  The default os in the ti connect directory is 2.22.  I quit trying to install 2.43 after a few attempts and tried instsalling the one in the ti connect directory (2.22 as I mentioned before.)

So then I downloaded 2.55 off the website, installed fine.

Thank you all very much.

If you still want to install OS 2.43 (basically, if you're planning to do anything with it besides math), you can use EpicFail to remove the downgrade protection.

EDIT: Moved to General Calculator Help.
