I got mine before they were officially released, and it had student software, slidecase, etc.

Ah that's good.

From what I gather, they might have planned everything, but the issue that remains is if somebody buys his calc used on Ebay or elsewhere, and it misses the CD/serial...

Did you connect your CX?

If you did, TiLPs drivers are messing with TI's, so uninstall TiLP completely, and remove the drivers.

Have you checked to make sure its connected and the drivers installed correctly?

Go through the basics I guess.  Is the calc on?  Is it plugged in?  Are the batteries fresh?  Did a window pop up on the computer asking to install it (and is it installed)?
(do the Nspires have a link mode, or is that only casios?)

Why has noone on Omnimaga made an alternative linking Program??
Is it because it wouldn't be legal?



Everyone hates TI-linking-programs, but noone makes alternative ones.
