Does at least Windows recognize that the calc is connected? Or do neither Windows nor TI-Computer Link acknowledge it?

Nope, only ndless does not reconize it
btw, I installed ndless the old way, using ndless 1.0 and computer link 1.3

Only Ndless recognizes it?
Windows should at least acknowledge that it is connected... Do you get any notification, any change in the tray, when you plug in or remove the calc?

No, he's saying it's only ndless that can't see it, everything else can.

no, you are misunderstanding
I had a clean nspire (no ndless) and I tried to install ndless 1.1
it gave me the error
I gave up and used 1.0

Did you have Computer Link and Ndless open at the same time?
