ans(1) whenever I use + or -
« on: September 09, 2018, 12:15:47 pm »
Hey guys I'm at a loss.

Anytime I use the + or - sign on my TI 89 calculator it just outputs ans(1)+/- on the line

It seems that it's putting in a saved answer and I have no idea how to turn it off, I just want to be able to use my subtraction and addition keys

Starting an entry with a + or - is invalid. Why are you starting with that? Are you trying to add it to the previous entry? If so, then that I why it is automatically filling it with ans(1).
