Nyan cat on TI-84+BE serious problem
« on: January 16, 2014, 06:17:43 pm »
I'm having a serious problem with my calculator(TI-84+BE), after running nyanmem.8xp and completing the menu it shut down and never turned back on...
I tried TI OS restore but it can't find my calc and neither dus TI device explorer. I tried pulling out batteries and pressing all kinds off buttons but it just won't give me any reponse. I do realize that this is actually my faulth because of 2.55 but I really need my calculator to work so could someone ( I hope for thepengwen777 but any help would be fine) help me out with this please?

1. Pull out a battery
2. Wait at least 5 seconds
3. Hold DEL
4. Put the battery back in

A screen should popup when you insert the battery. After fiddling through the two screens, your calculator might be fixed.

If not:
5. Repeat the first 4 steps, and after your calculator turns off after the scary messages, hold CLEAR and press the ON button

If you calculator works now, you will have to clear all memory in the memory management screen.

If not:
6. Repeat the first 4 steps, but have you calculator connected to your computer with your computer ready to send the new OS through ti-connect
7. When the calculator says send, send the OS

If you calculator is not fixed at this point, try step 5 again.

If none of that works, then you're probably doing something wrong ;D

You can build a statue out of either 1'x1' blocks or 12'x12' blocks. The 1'x1' blocks will take a lot longer, but the final product is worth it.

FYI, next time you have a problem like this, you should put it in the calculator support subforum.
