Could it be possible to connect your TI-Nspire CX via WiFi to the internet and use a browser (searching google etc.)??
Yes, it's possible, through the ongoing port of Linux :)
But the Nspire has a slow CPU, little RAM, and a small screen of very low resolution, so graphic browsers running in X11 are hardly more than a proof of concept - they're just too slow to be usable for practical purposes.

it's already possible to do this, via the CX linux port. however, because of the limited hardware, graphical browsing is very slow.

Can old sites with very small images like back in the '90s (such as ticalc.org) be decently fast enough?

links -g works beautifully.
But it doesn't support css, so it's just a long text with some images in between.
I think it'd fit into a ramdisk, so you only need a cable with a (low power) WLAN dongle.
