Well, have you unplugged the calculator, uninstalled all drivers, rebooted, installed TILP and rebooted (procedure slightly more detailed than what I mentioned above), and then configured TILP's calculator and cable model appropriately (or checked the "USB scan at startup" checkbox in the "Change device" dialog, so that it hopefully selects the appropriate device the next time TILP starts) ?
