first of all welcome to the forums

you remind me of myself when i got my nspire cx

so i will willingly help you
----the links given are direct links to the place you need to go so no one will make spin in circles
first of all there are two options:
1. have os 3.1 and 3.2 together
2. have only one os

first one is better since you can play gameboy color, advance etc games while play games like minecraft craft 2d

the other one is also good


if you want both 3.1 and 3.2 then download the file from here and follow instructions in the readme.

if you want to keep only 3.1

do this

hold [doc][ee][enter] together and while holding them press the reset button on the back. from the menu that comes press 2 then 1

when the install os comes put this file onto the calculator.


then comes the hacking part

as far the student software goes it is like your windows explorer or finder(mac) but only allows TI nspire documents
