Mkay, I decided that I wanted to upgrade the functionality of my calc, so I added a bunch of apps.
Because some of these apps mess with the calculator, I want to make sure that I'm not accidentally about to kill my calc or conflict with each other.
I have a TI-84+SE with OS 2.53
and the apps I'm worried about are

CtlgHelp
DoorsCS7 (the latest one)

Krolypto
MirageOS
Omnicalc
Symbolic
Unit Ops
zStart

Erm... these aren't going to kill my calc, are they, or ruin compatibility?  That would suck pretty badly.

That being said, any other interesting apps/programs I should have on my calc?

I think omnicalc's entries menu really screws up sometimes.
Also, you use both DCS and mirage?

Mirage and DCS can interfere with eachother if you keep programs hidden. Basically, Mirage will display all your games with a weird token as the first letter and then sometimes some programs will be visible and one shell or another says that they're hidden and viceversa.

Symbolic only works when classic mode is enabled.

IIRC Omnicalc has major issues with 2.53MP (did BrandonW make a patch for this, I forget) For example, pressing clear while entering a mathprint expression clears the RAM. The fast-commands VARS menu also does not work and as Darl said, I think the entries menu doesn't work either

I think calcsys is fine

Be careful of krolytpo, it is too easy to lock yourself out of your calc

Graph3's hooks get disabled all the time (or maybe just because my RAM clears all the time), you'll have to reinstall everytime you want to use it

Also, Cabamap is an awesome app; lots of math stuff you can't use with the OS (calculate 100! !)

Oh yeah, good point.  I think I kept mirage because I could secure my memory screen.  This was before my urge to install a bunch of apps today.

Omnicalc's restore mem feature is pretty nice (although i think it doesn't work in 2.53 either) I personally also like to use it to play some music (not as much since I found mobiletunes though)

I have omnicalc on my 2.53 calc, and I never use it. I'm not even sure why i still have it, but I don't want to delete it

well, the only thing is, I thought only Omnicalc did the memory screen protection O_o
Guess I am wrong...

Krolypto can protect the programs menu, the apps menu, startup, and memory menu.
Omnicalc's protection disables the delete key and reset option.

Yeah, sometimes I wish there were some sort of hook (kind of like how calcutil works) so you could use the ON interrupts mirage has in a program run from the homescreen.
If DCS were only one app slot, I'd probably be using that though

Calcsys gives you access to the VAT and an on-calc disassembler. It's very useful if you do ASM programming.
