Ti-84 Plus C Silver Edition cannot recognize file?
« on: October 12, 2013, 05:07:54 pm »
So I saw this:http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=841
And wanted to download it right away and so I followed the steps but for some reason when I go to send the file it says that it's unrecognized. Can anyone help me out? I really want to play it!

Primarily due to the entirely different screen, but also other internal technical reasons, any flash applications or assembly/Axe programs designed for the regular 83+/84+ calculators will not work on the 84+CSE. Unfortunate, I know.

New programs and games are starting to be developed for the 84+CSE, though, and a few have been released. If you're looking for assembly games, perhaps you'll find something you like here or here?

To add to what Runer112 said, certain BASIC games will not run either (such as ones that uses pre-made pictures or take 22 ish KB of RAM) or they will look weird due to different screen sizes. One very rare exception in particular is Mana Force 1 (RPG), which runs perfectly fine on the new calc.

In addition to the download links above, check http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads;cat=72 sometimes too in case there are some that might slip by there too.

Welcome to the forums by the way! :)

EDIT: By the way, such game would be possible on the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition, even in TI-BASIC. Maybe for now someone could port this :P : http://tibasicdev.wikidot.com/archives:portal
