Ti Nspire 3.2 Cas SO
« on: June 13, 2013, 07:04:31 pm »
Hey there. I searched but it seemed no one has this problem just me. I'm a bit noob at handling software. I installed the CAS SO in the CX but now i want to install some software, and it asks for the recent version. I know i have to use TNOC, but the software that TNOC gives me, isnt even recognized as a SO. Can anyone create me a pheonix.tns of the new CAS software version or teach me how to use TNOC correctly(3.2 i think).
Thhank you.

(Welcome here by the way!)

Avoid at all costs this new OS version. We'll post more details shortly.

For more details, see http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12359&lang=en (now fully translated to English) and http://tiplanet.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12360 . TI's behaviour is nothing short of scandalous.

Sorunome: well, OS 3.2.0.1212, released a year ago, in June 2012, already blocked Ndless. But unlike 3.2.4.1237, OS 3.2.0.1212, 3.2.0.1219 and 3.2.3.1233 didn't attempt to prevent users from downgrading to OS 3.1.0.392.

I guess he only wants 3.2.3 CAS and 3.1 CAS on a CX non CAS. (so not the 3.2.4 that reflashes the boot2)
This is pretty easy to do, just follow the Ndless switch pack and use CAS OSes instead of non CAS.

he's obviously another portuguese...

What does "SO" stand for?

In Portugal we say "Sistema Operativo", that's why he said SO

Oh, so if I'm not wrong, he is trying to cheat using CAS on a non CAS Nspire and wants help in order to do so ?

Ah ok kinda like in French. In english I think it sounded like "shut-off", as in the calc is shutting down by itself or the OS won't start. :P

And personally I don't see the point of using nLaunch to install a CAS OS on a non-CAS calc other than school use and to save money. I would be careful and avoid using nLaunch in a test, else if you get caught the consequences are much worse than if you don't cheat and fail the exam. Plus it gives even more reasons for TI to add even more restrictions against any nLaunch OS.

well, I'm sure that some people will use nlaunch but some of them will be caught

You could just tell him that you asked on many forums, but that all of your topics got locked or on watch list because it was against the rules to ask help to cheat. :P

Or better, in the full "post editor" (I mean when clicking "reply" or "modify" and not "quick reply" or "quick modify"), you have a bunch of posts at the bottom, all of them including a "insert quote" button.
I own: 83+ ; 84+SE ; 76.fr ; CX CAS ; Prizm ; 84+CSE
Sorry if I answer with something that seems unrelated, English is not my primary language and I might not have understood well. Sorry if I make English mistakes too.
