But they'll send you a K (or higher?) revision calculator.

What is a "K" calculator?

When I turn the CX CAS around I found a P-0612E code on the back?

Version was 3.2.0XXX

What is the value & difference between this and non "K" CX CAS calculators?

By the way, Any knowledge of an MEPRO type of program for the CX CAS? :)

Thanks,
Stefos

J and K calcs (the last char at the end of their serial number) cannot run Ndless nor be downgraded below OS 3.2.4 (or even 3.6). If you ever need some Ndless programs like mViewer and have such calc, then you're screwed. TI totally locked them down.

So...Is that "E" on the back of my calculator indicative of the "J or K" in which you speak ?

Also, I see you mentioned 3.2.4 & 3.6 OS's respectively........TI's site says 3.2.3 is the most current
Where are you getting this info from please & IF it's official TI OS's you're referring to, Why isn't TI posting them?

Thanks,
Stefos

Yes, you have an E, which is safe and is not locked down. (One of my Nspires is E, and I have Ndless and nLaunchy on it).

The 3.2.4 and 3.6 OS's were found hidden on TI's website. I don't know why it still gives normal users version 3.2.3. Never install 3.2.4, since it's completely locked down. And don't install 3.6 without using nLaunchy 2.3.

Here's some news items about these locked down OS versions and hardware revisions:

Maybe they found nasty bugs in OS 3.2.4 and 3.6 and thus, are waiting?

Yeah...My last CX CAS was a 3.2.4 from The Bach Company....scoundrels.

I won't upgrade until someone here says it's cool.
