I would like to try the exploit now, but here's the issue:

I got Windows 7 64-bit. When connecting my TI-Nspire to my computer, it only installs successfully in 84+ mode. In Nspire mode it fails. As for the computer link software, it won't recognize the calc either, even if ran as administrator. I tried compatibility mode as well, but then the software won't even start at all. Also when trying to close TI-Nspire Computer Link Software, it freezes.

I searched Google and UTI for my problem and found no solution at all.

So what I wonder: is there a way to use Ndless if we have Windows 7 x64?

One alternative is sending Nspire8x by brandonw to a TI-84 and connect with the Nspire. It can send the loader of Ndless (hack it) and at some point send/receive Nspire stuff.

But I don't know how would you send files from the x64 pc...
TI-Connect has a 64-bit patch, why TI didn't do the same with the TI-Nspire Computer Link Software?

the issue, though, is that I do not have a TI-84 Plus. All I got is two TI-83+ and a TI-83 Plus SE

However, I might have found a solution. The only one being on the french TI forum TI-BANK.

It failed the two first tries, though, but I might have done it wrong. The 3rd time it worked. I will post an english translation later. Hopefully someone could copy it to United-TI somewhere since it might help some people in the future.

You just need a way to communicate between calcs. If the 83+SE has USB and you have the USB cable between calcs, it should work.

I am glad you were able to do it. ;) A English version would prove useful.

The 83+/83+SE got no USB port, just the I/O port, and unfortunately I do not have a Silverlink cable, just the old black serial link that came with my 83+SE in 2002 and about 20 little USB cables

Ok here's the trick to fix TI-Nspire compatibilities issues with Windows 7:

First of all, make sure you downloaded TI-Nspire Computer Link Software from http://education.ti.com/educationportal/downloadcenter/SoftwareDetail.do?website=US&tabId=1&appId=6660 . The install from the CD that comes with the Nspire will not work. Also, DO NOT PLUG YOUR NSPIRE BEFORE INSTALLING THE SOFTWARE!!! Once you got TI-NspireLink.exe, follow the instructions below:

1: disconnect your computer from the Internet. This is VERY important so Windows won't try to find the drivers online.
2: Run TI-NspireLink.exe
3: On the Windows compatibility warning, click "Continue" anyway.
4: Install the software normally.
5: Once the install is done, connect the TI-Nspire with your computer.
6: Wait until the automatic driver detection is done. It will fail...
7: Go in Start->Control Panel->Device Manager
8: Right click on TI-nSpire Handheld then click Properties, then go to Driver->Reinstall Driver->Choose a driver on the hard drive
9: Go in the TI-Nspire Computer Link Software install directory and go to drivers\Win 64-bit Vista\ then click OK
10: Select the only file then click OK until it's done.

Hopefully it should fix your issue, altough the first time I think I did it wrong since it took me 3 tries until it works.

Thanks to Levak from TI-BANK for this trick.
