Same for me, What if I wasn't already too young when they wanted me to skip a class in elementary school ? I would have skipped a class, I would have met people I didn't and I would not have met people I did. How would my life be ?? I think I'd still be programming, this has to do with my parents, not my relations at school, but maybe I would have made more friends, I'd be getting out more often and I would be programming a lot less.
I own: 83+ ; 84+SE ; 76.fr ; CX CAS ; Prizm ; 84+CSE
Sorry if I answer with something that seems unrelated, English is not my primary language and I might not have understood well. Sorry if I make English mistakes too.

Guys, please keep this hypothetical and joke-free. Thank you.
that's what people have been doing so far (except maybe one or two post)? One single joke and you get all worked up? Get a sense of humor. Besides, before complaining about other people's random/joke posts, you should maybe look in a mirror. Thank you.

First of all, 2 were in H&J. Second of all, I was feeling really troll-ish the day of the other 2.

But I understand what you are saying, and I'll try to stop.

So you're the only one who has the right to troll ? Sorry but you'll need a better excuse next time.

Back on topic :
What if I didn't get a TI-80 by the time I didn't need a graphing calc ?
I wouldn't have as much experience in programming and probably would never code on calc.
I would have an actual life.
I wouldn't have any idea on what to do later.
Conclusion : I'd be yet another teen aka nothing. D:

indeed, feeling trollish one day doesn't grant us the right to troll (at least without any consequences here).

Also with your TI-80, you could experience the speed of 84+CSE program editor scrolling before other people. :P i never coded for it, though, because I was too used to the freedom I had on the 83+. (Getkey, pics, output, more drawing commands, RAM, fast Disp scrolling), ASM libs)

Nope. It was released for families who couldn't afford the more expensive 82 at the time, uses a proprietary CPU that runs at 980 KHz (even slower than the TI-81) and although it has slightly more RAM and commands than the 81 (such as For(), Then, Else, End), it lacks some that the 81 had and it's several times slower. It also breaks easier because it's made of really cheap plastic. Just bending the calc a bit or leaving it under a stash of 6 calcs for a while is enough to mess up the LCD permanently or worse.

Really ? Mine still works like a charm. What I like most about it is the fact that batteries last forever.

At school many people broke their calcs by dropping them while with 82/83+ models they would still work fine. My 80 is broken too and I didn't even drop it

I know, and I'm sorry...

What if I were not in calc AB this past year?
Well, my life would have sucked and school would have been boring...

What if the next generation of Teletubies show was made so that it accidentally targets young male adults? (much like with MLP:FiM)

Spoiler For IMPORTANT NEWS!:
Late last night, Quebec was invaded by a group calling themselves, "Omnimaga". Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...
