Earlier today I was just messing around and decided to record myself talking like Super Mario. It sounded pretty good, so I posted it to youtube and got some surprisingly positive feedback about it from some friends. Below is the video.

Anywho, since I seem to be pretty good at Super Mario impressions, I thought I'd make a YouTube spoof series called "Ask Mario". Basically, people can ask me questions and each week I'd pick some good ones to humorously answer in a video.

Questions should be SFW and can be about anything (video game related, politics related, etc).

You can either send questions to my YouTube account (ZXChannelStudios), PM me here, post them in this thread, or tell them to me on IRC.

I'd say go for it. Just don't pause so much when answering the questions and you'll be golden. =)

You do realize that there's no such thing as 1-5 ratings anymore, right? hehehe

Yeah, I'm still working on my fast talk. It's a bit tricky to talk like Mario quickly. Although, this video was impromptu. Actual episodes would be scripted and I will do as many takes as necessary to get it right.

I know. I wanted people to comment and actually write a rating of my impression from 1 to 5. Numerical values like that make it easier to gauge how well I'm doing.

Oh, and if somebody wants to be nice and make me a remix of the Super Mario theme for the series, I'd love you forever

It would be nice if you did that, especially with a Mario voice.

I said *should*.

You can ask questions that are NSFW but if they're explicit I probably won't use them so as to maintain a fairly PG rating.

However, I suppose I could always do what Jon Paula does with 3 Steps to Success and have a SFW version without the potentially offensive question(s) and a NSFW version that does.

Seriously, I don't think there's any need for Mario to be answering NSFW questions... but if you get too many good ones then that's definitely a good option.

Lol you could be tricky and be pg but put in a lot of innuendos so that all your pg audience will be unaware, and all your older audiences will get a kick out of it

Exactly why I've thought about (if I do go with some NSFW/euphemistic elements) doing two versions of the episode(s) in question. I don't want anybody to miss out.

Wow awesome logo! I would prbly make the bottom text a bit larger and bolder, though (the surrounding borders). Leave it as it is if it's gonna be used on a semi dark or dark background, though

And very cool idea and great start, as said before haha. I legitimately thought you like ripped the beginning part from a game but then when you started talking I was like "Holy crap!" lol.

SFW = Safe For Work
NSFW = Not Safe For Work

Basically, SFW is G or PG rated stuff and NSFW is PG-13+/T stuff or anything you wouldn't want to be caught looking at at work or school.

Ah ok, gotcha. And ya, I thought so haha. I think as you got further in the accent started to relax but ya, at the beginning it was good.

Yeah, speaking in Mario for a decent amount of time is somewhat difficult if you're not Charles Martinet

Then again, I don't think even Martinet speaks paragraphs in Mario either

Buuut, practice makes perfect. Hopefully I'll continue to improve as I do this series. *cough*Questions please*cough* ;P
