1337 and should there be standards?

Ok, I know the whole point of 1337 is to be hard to read, ...but... '|'|-|1.:' 1.:' 2
/\/\3 \|//\':' 4|\|[]':'1|\|6...so, my personal thoughts on 1337 are these.
1337 should be creative with out being riddiculously messy, that it should take just as much room as regular text to speek, and that it should be well punctuated and spell for phonicitic correctness. Iow, 1337 13773R~ ~hu1>'t hvae mor 7en 1 ledder to represent each ledder. 4=A: OK, /\=A:bad...and to me the phonetic spellings can be more fun than the actual 133t and the over 1337ing can actualy d-trct frm the awsomns tht is a 13373d mesige. And if you aren't going to use punctuation to clarify things that need it, it becomes in my opinion bad (e.g. of good "she, as in her, was doing that.", e.g. of bad "she as in her was doing that." [was she inside of her doing something?])
What do you guys think?

Interesting.
I think that 1337 should messyingly complex enough for the unititiated to be condused, yet simple enough for the master to read with ease.
(Don't ask me how.)

well, to me 1337 is a geeky cool in that it is a laungage of true 1337n3~, but when it becomes actualy unpleasent to decipher I feel like it looses alot of that 133t awesomeness. Is that how you feel, the point of it is to be a filter of the 1337 and not 1337, not the 1337 and the 1337 who enjoy ++deicphering++ "messy 1337" as I call it

I hate 1337 cause it's so hard to read. It's too much trouble for me to decipher.

The only form of 1337 speak I approve is the "old" form people hardly use anymore. 7h3 0n3 w3r3 50m3 0f 7h3 13773r5 4r3 r3p14c3d by numb3r5. Though the 8 being a B has been a point of doubt

Overusage of color/fontsize can get irritating, but when spam leaves the spam section...(growl)

I hate people who can't spell words like you (I mean as in AIM speak not actually you as a person.) In 1337 spell things right goddammit!
