so my brother was having problems with my calc, and so he decided to clear all the memory. (bad idea)
And of course I only have a few things backed up, so it pretty much sucks. just wanted to let you all know what a horrible day I'm having. :banghead:

What programs did you lose?
Moral : Always back up your calc...

I lost all my programs... the only things that were backed up were some useless Basic Games. (on my PC)
makes me feel like crying. :'(

Ouch. Believe me, I feel your pain. One time I was working on a Text Editor in Axe and it was just about finished, and I had an awful RAM clear and lost EVERYTHING. I literally just about cried

Whoa shit man. I remember coding BASIC with TI-Graph on my PC for that reason... haha

Moral : Always back up your calc...
Moral : do not have a brother never let people touch to your calc, or put a password, or block the mem menu with MirageOs (if you are using a TI z80)

If you're not using zStart, Krolypto should work, it has an option to password protect the memory (and startup,and a couple others) :)
Tho I would encourage your brother to look up better ways to troubleshoot :P

Note: this wasn't a RAM clear, this was a ROM clear. as in like everything, apps, programs, and everything else. :(

This is the fucking worst. I lost all my progress on something once and i actually did cry. It was so devastating. Losing program progress is the most heart-wrenching, soul-ripping event I can imagine. Well... It feels like it at the time.

What's with the topic title? ??? Also this sucks, this is why I always backup somewhere safe in case and never lend my calc to anyone. In one case someone tried to steal my batteries.
Also yeah I witnessed a huge data loss before and I almost cried too. (Illusiat 2002: La Quête Ultime)
