We go to Dayton about once a year. That would be another place to meet. Are you an aviation buff?

You could say that lol, My grandfather was a ball turret gunner, helped design the B-52 Stealth Bomber, Also helped design the shuttle for NASA, and so on and so on. Every since I saw his papers and work after he died, I've been interested in Aviation :) I used to go to Dayton every year for the air shows, but I got busy with my other passion...MUSIC! Which is all good, but I REALLY want to go back to an air show :)

Well thats really cool. My grandfather flew DC-3's for North Central (they had a Blue goose on their tail), and his brother was also a pilot. My Grandpa had to jump out of a burning DC-3 once and my grandma still has the newspaper article. His brother died flying a boyscout troop to alaska. It was cloudy and he hit the side of a mountain. That was before GPS's.

So ever since I was really little I've been interested in aviation. Since a few years ago, we've been going to the Air Force museum in dayton yearly. That place is HUGE!

I think your the first guy on this forum that I've met that was actually interested in aviation :)

Wow. Lucky you! Thats a C-5, right?

I have actually finished ground school and am waiting for my 17th birthday so I can start in-flight training.

I have been thinking about making an interactive field guide to airplanes for casio calculators. Maybe we could make it cross-platform if you wanted to port my code to TI. ;)

I know! I saw one last summer when we went to Selfridge air base in michigan. I was watching when Todd Greene fell. IDK if you heard about him, but he was doing the aerial transfer act, and lost his grip and fell. He died at the hospital. Can't say that was exactly the best part of the show, but the rest was pretty impressive.

yeah, but sometimes, the lack of safety precautions is the exciting part. But yeah...a harness would have been good plus a harness would have been hard to get on
