(I am tempted to do a shameless plug...*cough*...)
But for file uploading I like
http://www.mediafire.com . I never got any trouble with it. Savefiles used to be cool around 2005-07, but now it's shit as they lowered the download speed to like 100 KB/sec, so sharing songs/videos/huge files there is pretty much out of the question when you have many.

here we go:
http://www.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.phpFor those who can't get Microsoft Sam to work for any reason or just find the voice horrible/don't know how to replace it (I don't), this is a good alternative. The voice isn't too bad, altough not perfect (you don't want to make a song with this). It takes text and converts it to speech (it even lets you download the wav file). Useful to make Youtube videos with vocals either if you want to be anonymous or if you really suck at speaking english.
http://www.showcaseyourmusic.com/Nice site to share your music. THere are many others but this is the easiest to use I found so far and unlike Myspace it works fine in all browsers and is down much less often. Of course, for Music sharing (and I talk about songs you made, not copyrighted material) nothing beats
http://www.youtube.com and showcasing work on forums or to friends though.

Ok sorry I can't resist the urge to do a shameless plug
http://www.mtv-music-generator.comThis is the only english and only active forum about music creation on consoles using the retro MTVMG titles. You can upload your songs directly into your posts so they are kept forever, unlike on extrenal file hostings. But even if you don't make music there are over 900 freeware songs avaliable for download and lot of DJ mixes (using these songs). Most are electronic dance/rave music though, but I guess this can be a nice addition to the large music database on
http://www.newgrounds.com and the following:
http://www.ocremix.orgAnother music site like the above, altough not oriented to specific softwares. It's a site about video game music remixing and arranging. You will find amazing remakes of your favourite retro titles music there and there are competitions I believe.
By obscure sites I hope you don't mean goatse and tubgirl?
Also do you mind if we post other links in this topic? I thought it would be a nice idea to keep sites in one topic to not clutter the forums but it's up to you, I'll split the other links posts in another topic if you desire
