For those of you currently in an education institution, post what classes you'll be taking next year, as well as your grade.
I'll be a sophomore (10th grade) in High School. I'm taking:
English II Honors
World History II Honors
Chemistry Honors
Algebra II Honors
Pre-Calc Honors
French II Honors
Latin II Honors.
How about the rest of you?

I'm currently in Gymnasium, not really an equivalent of high school.
After elementary school (4years), you get suggestions from the elementary school you went to suggesting which secondary school you ought to visit, according to your grades.
We have:
-Gymnasium (theory-oriented, 8-9years)
-Realschule (partly theory, partly practical stuff, 7years)
-Hauptschule (mainly practical stuff)
now, with the german school system, on a gymnasium, you can't really choose subjects at random. You always have to take math, german, at least one foreign language, physics, biology, etc.
I'm in grade 13, taking the final graduating exams in a few weeks, then I'll be ready to storm the university. I won't have school next year so I just figured out for each subject I take how many hours I have each week, for the current year, grades transferred onto the american system:
-math 4h, E
-german 4h, C
-english 4h, A
-biology 4h, A
-chemistry 4h, C
-music 2h, B
-history 2h, C
-Gemeinschaftskunde 2h, B (I can't figure out a good translation for this one, it contains aspects of geography and history and combines them laying focus on social and political problems)
-PE 2h, C
-psychology 2h, A

I'm looking into taking a bunch of fun classes next year and attempt to get rid of the stress:
Graphics Design (Gimp and Flash are both in the curriculam, the class actually does alot of cool stuff)
Myth and Legends (In place of English)
Astrophysics (I honestly just like the name...)
Calculus (Bah! No way to get around math)
And that's all I've chosen so far. I'm gonna try not to have a first period class
.

Hmm... At my highschool we can only take 6 classes
. (Well, maybe that's a good thing!)
Here is what I am taking next year (senior year, baby!):
Multivariate Calculus
Human Anatomy and Physiology
AP Biology
AP Chemistry
AP English (Literature)
Finite and Discrete
This is what I'm taking this year (junior year):
AP Physics C
AP Calculus BC
Honors English 11
AP Spanish 5
AP Statistics
AP US History
Summer Class (this summer): Biotechnology
If you have excess credits at my highschool, you can skit 1st or 6th period so I hope I can skip Multivariate Calculus (I already know it, so it's an easy A)... or Finite and Discrete...
I want to work in biotechnology or medicine field so I need the sciences and all the exemptions I can get.

Well, it's like elfprince13 said awhile back. the ti community contains a bulk of the top ranking students. I'm sure we're all going to get into the college we want to get into. No worries really :thumb:

Lol, true. My school is one of those elitist public schools... (You know how parents like to move their kids to the best schools.)

So is my school. I'm gonna be honest though, while I'm pretty smart, I'm a slacker. I spend no time on assignments I don't have to do and little on those I do. In classes with teacher's I like I have gotten 100 averages because I see it as worthwhile and interesting. Otherwise my grades range from 75-85 with an average of 87 or so (including the 100 occasionally thrown in). I do really good on standerdized tests though where homework doesn't count and rarely get lower then 95 or so on these.
EDIT: By the way, just because I don't do all the work I'm supposed to doesn't mean I don't work alot.

Woot...senior year next year...if only my schedule was like most seniors:
-AP Physics
-AP Spanish VI
-AP Macro Economics
-AP European History
-AP Government
-AP English
-Wind Ensamble (Band President)
-3 religion classes (required)
-1 Gym (needed for graduation)
That equals 10.5 credits
A Normal full schedule = 8 credits
An average senior's schedule = 6 credits
I'm gonna have fun
