so basically my parents just told me that i have to decide what college i want to attend by tonight
a lot of you people are either in the midst of or through this process(and are interested in the same things i am) so i thought it would be a good place to ask.
so: what place are/were/will you attend/ing, does it have good programs for someone who is interested in programs
(or robotics stuff, or even engineering[although there are a ton of people in that field, so not so much]), how many $'s would i need, etc
im a teensy weensy bit desperate here so any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

Where do you live? Or is that not an issue? I am still in high school, but I know of several good CompSci/Engineering schools.

Hmmm...you can never go wrong with MIT, which is where I'll be headed in a month.
However, it is rather expensive (~$46,000 a year
), not to mention a pain to get into.

UC Berkeley is a good choice, that's where I'm going. It's a public school (usually considered the best in the country) so its probably less expensive than a private school even if you're from out of state. It's also consistently in the top 5 schools in the world for computer science and engineering. It's hard to get in though, you pretty much need almost strait A's. This is my first semester there so I haven't actually started yet, but from what I've seen so far, their college of engineering is really nice.

well, U of Tulsa has a good comp sci program, and if you're interested in anything technology/engineering, U of Missouri-Rolla (a.k.a. Missouri Science and Technology) is a good place to go. I think Dartmouth has a good computer program, also.
However, if you're looking for a good buy, Truman State University (in Kirksville, MO) is a very good school with a good computer science program. I think in-state tuition is $11,000, maybe. Out-of-state is $14,000, I believe, but you'll want to look that up.
