End of activity peak?
« on: February 12, 2010, 04:42:16 pm »
Mhmm I noticed that the high activity the forums had seems to be slowly coming to an end, traffic seems to be dropping slowly too... even when we had 4 days with 100+ posts each a few days ago, there were fewer active topics than the previous times we had such high post rates. Idk if it's cuz of the new OS being tested or the fewer projects updates (*Pokes calc84maniac*) but we seems to be going back to the activity of a year ago now. Is it because everyone is in exams or something?

I know I'd been pretty busy, so I havn't coded much on Elmgon.  I noticed the decrease too, and wondered like you did.  Hmm...

Well, you know me, I always pop in and out.

Life's so weird. Getting used to things before they go ahead and change when I head to college in May.

I've been concentrating on Factory Series. And right now, I'm thinking about going back to the walking engine of TLM because, actually, I've learned a lot of new things from Builderboy's Factory and Ztrumpet's Factory Theta... Otherwise, I think I'm about the same as before...

May be, I guess it's because of a lot of asm products that are coming out, and we have no idea what they are about (for example, Eeems, Quigibo, etc...) not that they are bad, but for me, I have no idea what they are talking about... I tend not to post there X.X

Spoiler For funny life mathematics:
1. ROMANCE MATHEMATICS
Smart man + smart woman = romance
Smart man + dumb woman = affair
Dumb man + smart woman = marriage
Dumb man + dumb woman = pregnancy
2. OFFICE ARITHMETIC
Smart boss + smart employee = profit
Smart boss + dumb employee = production
Dumb boss + smart employee = promotion
Dumb boss + dumb employee = overtime
3. SHOPPING MATH
A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.
A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need.
4. GENERAL EQUATIONS & STATISTICS
A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.
A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.
A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.
A successful woman is one who can find such a man.
5. HAPPINESS
To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little.
To be happy with a woman, you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.
6. LONGEVITY
Married men live longer than single men do, but married men are a lot more willing to die.
7. PROPENSITY TO CHANGE
A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.
A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change, and she does.
8. DISCUSSION TECHNIQUE
A woman has the last word in any argument.
Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

Girls = Time * Money (Girls are a combination of time and money)
Time = Money (Time is money)
Girls = Money squared (So, girls are money squared)
Money = sqrt(Evil) (Money is also the root of all evil)
Girls = sqrt(Evil) squared (So, girls are the root of all evil squared)
Girls = Evil (Thus, girls are evil)
*Girls=Evil credit goes to Compynerd255*

Jsj, that's an awesome look at it.  I like that you learn from code, but also you arn't afraid to admit that Asm is not your forte (strong-point; Wait a minute-Is "forte" French? :D ).  Great outlook. :)

I hope you don't have summer school {AP} x.x

activity wise I also noticed I had half of the posts most days x.x. I used to have a bit under 20% of the forum posts and now I am getting closer and closer to 25 x.x. Maybe I'll be like Kerm on Cemetech, altough maybe not, since I doubt I could be able to post this much in a day x.x

Yeah, I'll be in college over the summer.
If things go as planned, I'll be in constantly for about 2 years.

We'll have to just wait and see how things go.
I'll have a laptop and internet the whole time I'm there so other than the work, I won't have any excuse to not check up on the forums daily still.

i have been slightly less active because i decided to work on mastering brainfuck and writting an SAO xp calculator with it, and now i can't stop until i finish :X sadly i did not back it up often and it got deleted when my computer restarted itself to install updates ;.;
however it was a good reminder to me to keep my projects backed up frequently and all in all it will just give me more time to learn brainfuck which will make me a better programmer overall :D
also i have a study hall this quarter and that means that you can expect to see some progress on piworld again soon (the calc version)
