Well hopefully the day you leave omnimaga is not for a long time, we will miss you.
Yeah it seems that the community as a whole on omnimaga believes more or less what the core beliefs of of the community has been put on the front page, a hate free enviroment.

(gah...this Refreshing omnomIRC is getting annoying on my iPod...keeps on intterupting my typing :( )

Yeah, on slower platforms it might be hectic x.x. it reminds me TI_Sax but refreshing much faster. I wish it did refresh slower, like every 5 seconds.

As for the community, I think one issue is that back then people didn't believe hostility could kill the community slowly, even if in the past it killed forums even on non calc sites. After seeing the activity drop in 2008 after Omni died, then Omni end up with highest activity in 2009 (even more than Cemetech or UTI) even if the site was down for half a year before and people posting less and less on UTI and Cemetech after Omni returned, they probably finally understood. There are still people who deny that hostility can kill forums, though, but usually, those who do are people who advocates such hostility and bad behaviour.

There will always be people who like us less because of our stricter rules (they believe in no free speech restriction) but now I think we can finally see that there are people who believe in free speech, but not at the expense of the community.
