Grass Fires and Oklahoma
« on: March 13, 2006, 11:10:00 am »
Well due to the recent dry weather around here our grass has become dried and the ground hard. People have been committing arson by setting fire to these fields. Well I went fishing yesterday (Sunday, March 12) at a water resorvore (spelling?) and it was really windy and the water was choppy, so we didn't manage to catch any fish. My sister pointed out the smoke in the distance and said "look it's a fire!" and I said "Nah that's probably just some construction". Well I was wrong, she said look at the fire on the ground which I did after I could see it.

Long story short I had my camera and I took some http://www.freewebs.com/kalans2/Pictures.html.
Warning it may take a little to load as I just through the pictures up and didn't make them into thumbnails. I also added three pictures of my dog on my bed as requested by someone. They also show the choppy water, the smoke, the fire, the cows and how far they are away, the fire trucks and water trucks, and the ground after they put it out.

wow that sucks, I hope this wont happen here. In 2002 we got 2 weeks without rain twice and grass was all yellow and dry. That would sucks because there is house everywhere and trees so it can be dangerous
