IRC Channel List (Out-dated)
« on: May 21, 2010, 12:12:24 pm »
I just wanted to throw this out there as a list of calc-Related IRC Channels.

EFNet ( IRC.EFNet.Net:6667 ) :
  • z80/Nspire/Casio Calculator games programming, anime, gaming (mostly Starcraft and Minecraft), music and random discussion.

z80 Calc programming in general, computer gaming (mostly Unreal Tournament and LEGO games) and random discussion.

Computer-related discussion and occasional z80/Nspire calc discussion

Exclusively reserved for calculator discussion of any kind and best channel to ask help and support.

    Generic TI-Nspire development discussion

The Casio Prizm counterpart of #inspired

You can use a client such as X-Chat, mIRC, AquaIRC, or any of the >9000 others to connect. The Server and Channel Information is all above. Alternatively, you can just use the webchat, linked above, to get on through your webbrowser, although this may provide a less desirable experience.

Omnimaga may also be used through OmnomIRC, once you have 20 posts on the forums.
Cemetech may also be used through Sax on Cemetech's website.

I edited your post to add a small description of the content of every channel.

Is #calcgames still active, btw? Also I think there was another calc channel on Freenode but I forgot the name. There was also a yAronet TI channel back then but idk if it still exists, plus it was in french

Not really anymore. Whenever there is activity, it's usually just E-J using CalcBot to do calculations. :P

Lol ok, so I guess it's not worth listing anymore x.x

There used to be #unitedti too, on Dragon-Fire (which is where #omnimaga was located from Feb 15th 2006 to July 20th 2009) but it eventually died around 2008.

You can edit it if you like. Remember you are an anit-riot squad member now.

List of stuff I need to do before September:
1. Finish the Emulator of the Casio Prizm (in active development)
2. Finish the the SH3 asm IDE/assembler/linker program (in active development)
3. Create a partial Java virtual machine  for the Prizm (not started)
4. Create Axe for the Prizm with an Axe legacy mode (in planning phase)
5. Develop a large set of C and asm libraries for the Prizm (some progress)
6. Create an emulator of the 83+ for the Prizm (not started)
7. Create a well polished game that showcases the ability of the Casio Prizm (not started)

I don't like editing other people's posts with a very good reason :P

Good idea. I should add some random rick rolls to others' posts.  ;)

Actually every time i go to #prizm there is no one there. Might be because I'm on the Pacific coast.

Oh I meant no one as in not even anyone idling. I think in prizm there were like 8 people idling. #inspired and #prizm aren't used for all discussion, though, since some goes on forums or larger chans. It's mostly for when there's too much activity elsewhere.

That post is totally asking for a rickroll...
