which android phone should i buy?
« on: September 13, 2011, 06:30:32 pm »
Yep, its the time this guy gets an upgrade.. well hopefully. Idk.

Anyhow, I want to know which *android* cellphone i should get. I can only pay up to $400 on the phone. It MUST be unlocked, so if you find per say.. the htc thunderbolt, show it to me *unlocked* and not with the 2 yr contract.

I however do like HTC...
hmm.... though samsung galaxy s looks promising.. but what about teh xperia play? GAH! cant make up my mind lol

I recommend the Galaxy S, I have tried it on a local shop and it's awesome :D

The Xperia Play has Minecraft though, not sure if you play/like it.

These are the only Android phones I'd recommend to someone on AT&T or any GSM carrier.

Nexus S (Nexus Prime if you don't mind waiting) - for "Pure Android". No manufacturer skins.
Samsung Galaxy S II - Great Display, size, up-to-date

I love HTC as well, and I have the Droid Incredible 2. I have no complaints about it and I think it's an amazing phone (then again, it is my first smartphone ;D). Here's an unlocked version for $234 (the cheapest I saw on Google's shopping thing.)

I got a Samsung Galaxy S I9000. It's perfect and its successor S II seems great aswell.

I'm sorry Snake, I must've deleted the notification for this :( but yes, the Incredible 2 is 3G. Have you gotten your dream phone yet, though? :D

I just searched for my phone on Google shopping and it was near the top on the second page. I just found the lowest price and clicked on it.

Is eBay a viable solution? If so, here's one for buy now @ $289 and it comes with an Otterbox! (A little over 2 days left at the time of this post.)

If not, here's a list of one's in the low- to mid-$300s.

Oh haha, alright. I thought it was more of a here-and-now kind of deal. And yeah, that's what I meant :P I don't think you're going to be able to get much lower than that, though, unless you try eBay or something similar :/ but congrats on the post! :D
