My Mom and Depression
«
on:

Well... My mom has been diagnosed as bipolar and manic depressive for at least 15 years now.
And today... My sister called me to inform me that my mom tried to commit suicide... by downing 150 pills of assorted kinds.
If she makes it... There is a chance she will lose all kindey functionality and potential brain damage... And that is if she makes it.
In her manic states, she is too scary to be around. Not to mention that she hates my wife. I have a little girl too... 22 months old. I have chosen to protect my family from her. Hence, I have not spoken to my mom for over a year now. My little girl probably does not even remember her grandma.
Anyway... Emotions are high right now. I pray that I can handle this situation as is develops. This is a sad situation from every angle that you look it.

Ouch, that's pretty sad.
A lot of
emoticons there too.
I hope she comes out of it okay, I'll ask my family to pray for her.

oh gosh, I'll be wishing your family good luck
I don't really know what it's like to be depressed (though some lousy middle school guidance office guys think I do.

Yes, this is a sad thing to happen and all we can do is pray....I just wish things like this wouldn't happen as they are >.< but all things happen for a reason!
