I some times want to shoot myself...

This test isn't even accurate anyway. I actually get about 50-60 Kbps. :'(

You can get faster speeds than that using dial up. Here in the netherlands there is an isp that offers this service for free :D You need a telephone subscription though (Does not matter if it's theirs. They don't discriminate. They're just being awesome)
If you like my work: why not give me an internet?

Yup I know. It's sad. I can't wait to move out.

The reason why this is, is because my dad is a software engineer, and requires a constant linkup to the company. 24/7 connection.

The only thing anyone will provide us with is the shitty less than dial up stuff.

That's a pretty standard speed for Canada.

The issue with dial up, though, is that when you are online, nobody is able to call you at home because the phone remains occupied. This can be rather irritating for friends who want to hang out with you or if someone has an important call to do to you (unless you have a cellphone of course).

You live in Canada too? O.O

My internet upload speed and bandwidth cap improves almost every year, but the price increases by $1 every 2-3 year too.

I own: 83+ ; 84+SE ; 76.fr ; CX CAS ; Prizm ; 84+CSE
Sorry if I answer with something that seems unrelated, English is not my primary language and I might not have understood well. Sorry if I make English mistakes too.

Also, that internet speed is only available in the morning. In the evening, it is a lot slower -.-
