Nick change
« on: February 08, 2011, 03:34:02 pm »
I decided to change my nickname to DJ_O, to get rid of the Omnimaga part. It seems that because this is part of my nick, people always see me like if I was the only admin of that site and loads me with all their requests/tasks instead of splitting it between all admins. I want this mentality to change. My first step was to move my nickname at the bottom of the staff list on the front page, but and I fear my nickname did not help at all. I'll stick to DJ Omnimaga elsewhere except here and Cemetech, since other forums aren't that active, anyway.

Maybe even just make it something like Kevin O?  that way there could be no misunderstanding.

And I agree with yuor mentality, btw.

thing is, maybe it's better if we forget whole DJ or Omnimaga part of the name, it pretty much makes it sound like he HAS to run everything.  Kevin O sounds quite relaxed instead 8)

"Kevin O" makes me think dirty thoughts.

...then again, those sorts of dirty thoughts are considered to be positive, so maybe that's alright?

How about DJ_OmNom  </unserious>

At first, I thought you were someone impersonating you. (opps. I really worded that poorly)

How about DJ_OmNom  </unserious>
Oooh, I kinda like the sound of that.
How about "DJ_Omnom"?  It's a little too un-serious though.  :-\

DJ_Noms has a better sound to it
i don't think the change will result in any problems, as most people just call you dj anyways.

Yeah, everyone calls you just DJ. Why not just DJ? Sounds nice.

I personally think "DJ" is a little bit short.  :-\

Well, sometimes I go by only "J" on IRC.

Also, that's original because nobody goes that short, in my opinion.

DJ is more like a nick for a nick "wait is that even possible" But even DJ_O seems a little short. Also to direct more PM's and emails to other admins, maybe other admins should add "Omnimaga" to their nick. "unserious and serious" :-\

List of stuff I need to do before September:
1. Finish the Emulator of the Casio Prizm (in active development)
2. Finish the the SH3 asm IDE/assembler/linker program (in active development)
3. Create a partial Java virtual machine  for the Prizm (not started)
4. Create Axe for the Prizm with an Axe legacy mode (in planning phase)
5. Develop a large set of C and asm libraries for the Prizm (some progress)
6. Create an emulator of the 83+ for the Prizm (not started)
7. Create a well polished game that showcases the ability of the Casio Prizm (not started)

I'm not feeling it either.  ZTrumpet-Omnimaga sounds like a hyphenated last name to me.  Cool idea though. :)
