First successful boot into gnome today, both in an emulator and off of a usb stick. We have liftoff I can now start work on adding in important packages, customizing the graphics and more

Exactly! I'm also going to add compat-wireless to the OS so it's super simple for first time users to set it up on computers that need wireless support.

Where's gcc and bison?

gcc is part of base, which is also installed. Arch linux has gcc on it by default and bison can be installed later if you really want it.

lol, I'm just using Gnome 3

i heard gnome 3 was pretty buggy. Why not use Gnome 2 and add an update with the official release of gnome 3 bug free(It is beta isn't it)

Well gnome 2 is no longer in the Arch Repositories, I'd have to do some pretty intense scripting to make the install of it into my build directory automated, and it would make it take a lot longer
gnome 3 isn't so bad (I've been running it the whole time I've been making this) so I'm pretty sure it wont die on everybody.

My own custom chatzilla mod is installed as well ( runnable by chatzilla from the command line ( or alt-f2 ) ).
Users:
 root
 omni
both have the same password:
 omnimaga
I believe that I successfully set fallback as the default, but it might still default to gnome-shell. I also tried to get the icons to display by default, but I'm still having issues with that
I'll upload the iso as soon as I make sure it's still stable. Be warned that this is still early alpha, and it is just a live cd iso atm, it would be best to either dd it onto a usb drive, or boot onto a virtual machine with it instead of putting it on a cd to make a live cd.
