I decided we needed a linux build dedicated to Omnimaga, so viola OmnimagaOS
I'm not done with it yet, going to work a lot more on making it more tailored to Omnimaga etc by changing stuff around, but some early testing would be nice :)

Seems pretty nice. Does it will have calc-oriented development tools bundled with it?

Lol nice, I assume it's based on a distro in particular, right? Do you have any screenshots?

I do plan on adding TI specific stuff tout eventually, but currently it does not have any TI tools.

It's based in SUSE, and you can testrun it for yourself directly in the browser :) So no I dont have any screenshots yet.

A good idea would be that it has all calc software installed: tilp, vti?, calcapture...

Wish I could test drive the OS. Apparently it doesn't respond to my keyboard or my mouse :(

Oh nice. I didn't realize we could test in browsers. We need to sign up, though.

EDIT: Uhm it doesn't even work. It says Flash is uninstalled or a Firewall is blocking something, even though I got Flash installed and my Firewall disabled. Also is there any place where I can test it without having to sign up on VMware or something?

I think Eeems should provide a mirror or something or a video of it running, because it's a major PITA to setup. First, the Suse site is horrendously slow, secondly it forces you to login. Third the browser testing doesn't work (tried in Firefox and Opera) and fourth, VMware was a major PITA to download due to requiring logging in too.

UPDATE: Why do I need to login on the Suse thing? What is the login/password? Or is that it and there's nothing else further? :/

If I encounter another wall during trying this, I assure you I stop now. Make this less complicated for the people who are curious, assuming it's not just command console-based.

Yeah you have to log in to download. I will begin mirroring it when I get it to a place where I think it should be usable to everybody
Attached is where the different types of downloads are.
I'm probably going to use Gnome as the desktop manager, and some of the default stuff, but a post notifier sounds great :D
Also I intend to install emulators, compilers etc.
I intend to make this the perfect OS for developing for Omnimaga related projects ( So TI, Casio etc ).
Any suggestions on what software I should install, and maybe some tutorials on how to?

EDIT: DJ the username is Omnimaga and the password is rocks
I still haven't been able to get past the agreement part myself with the flash things so I'm not sure yet. I will be downloading and testing the vmware copy though myself so I'll let you guys know how that goes.

When I have more time, I'll put it in my USB Drive and install it, is it 64bits or 32bits?

Just to let you guys all know, most of the information you need as to what is installed, what it's based off of, and what architecture is on the page I linked to in the first post.
It is 32bit for compatibility with most computers still out there ( and because I can't virtualize a 64 bit on my lappy atm :P )
