Wouldn't it be best to use the logo in my sig? Although it's not as smooth, it's the original version of the Feb 2004 logo. Or does it absolutely need to be scaled up?

Well, depends where you want to put the logo, in which context. Sometimes you need a tiny one while you need a bigger one somewhere else, such as a wallpaper or something.

The smaller one could do well for a 32x32 while I could use the favicon for the 16x16 one.

Hmm list of stuff we should have installed.
Firefox, Thunderbird, TiLP2, WINE, nspire emulator, all other emulators for TI that work, IRC client, some sort of dev environment for z80, a post notifier, more?

Xchat, irssi (both defaulting to EFNet), some sort of dev environment for nspire (nspire-gcc?) and 68k, wxWabbitemu, Tilem and some sort of text editor/IDE that works with them.

Chrome and maybe Wine.
Eclipse due to C compatibilities (for the NSpire and 68K).

Maybe when I release Assemblex (it's Python) it could be included too.
I prefer Chrome, but I have both. So I suggest both.

What about Internet Explorer?

Don't forget gfm (group file manager)!
I don't know if we should include wine, it just takes more space, and without it people would make more native applications.

I would say go with Firefox, ( It is a linux default for many Distro's after all :P ) and let the people install Chrome if they want it.
Maybe even just have a custom application that will let you choose from all available browsers and then installs it for you?

I guess X-Chat because it's what most people use in the linux community, and it does work pretty well.
irssi would be great too for the more advanced users who want to use console stuff :P
wxWabbitemu requires a lot more work still, but when it's done it would be a great addition.

I don't hate wine, sometimes use it myself, but must it be installed by default in this distro?
Most calculator programs have a Linux port, or something alike.
The only program I haven't found (but I haven't really looked) a version for Linux is CalcCapture.
