Ouch, I would have hated that. Fortunately I didn't get the swine flu even if I did not get vaccinated. However, when you got it, didn't you automatically become immune to it for a long while afterward?

i also have a phobia of taking shots if i am facing forward in a chair... for some reason i am fine siting backwards in it...  maybe i just had a bad experiance when i was younger.

Dj:  ya, completely immune.  i guess they were afraid i would be the exception...??? ??? ???

You are actually immune to that specific of the flu forever (essentinally), but the flu itself undergoes small changes each year, so you are not immune to the common strain of flu the next year.  That is why flu shots are reccomended to get each year, unlike other vaccines that you only have to get once or twice (even though I never got a flu shot myself).  

Random Fact:  Scientists predict what strain of flu to protect against the next flu season by looking at the common varaties in China and other Eastern countries.

one other big pet peeve of mine are bigot people. People who hate someone just because he has a different skin color, religion or sexual orientation. I mean, why does it matters so much? As long as the person won't try to impose her beliefs on you or try in every way to ask you for a date even if it's clear you prefer one of the 5 opposite genders, I think they should be treated the same way as other people and you shouldn't dump a friend that reveals the truth long after you became friend with him. I read some horror stories of what happened to victims of similar stuff before.

Having different opinion about such difference is OK but hating due to such difference?
