You can do that on Windows, yeah. I think Dolphin does that and Mac's Finder does it too.

@XiiR3CR34T10N: That is pretty cluttered, but I've seen worse too. I like to keep m desktop and my files in general organized so I know were stuff is. :) I think there's like only 4 icons total on my desktop. :)

C: is an SSD. G: is an internal HDD and N: is an external HDD.

I have far more disk space, but no SSD drive and much less RAM (although I never used more than half of it) :(

people who watch and listen to lots of things and also like to keep backups of stuff. i have about 6TB of storage, and it's ~75% full. when dealing with huge chunks of storage, your RAM gets filled up to be used as cache very quickly, so the more you have the faster things work.

I run virtual machines a lot. 16GB isn't actually enough RAM for me.

Also, I think for other people who do heavy multimedia editing (especially HD vids) it needs a crapload of RAM too.

I remember the hi school days where teachers told us to avoid working on images larger than 300x300, else Paint Shop Pro would freeze due to lack of RAM.

Hm, not sure whether to feel good or bad about rarely using more than 2gb of ram at once now.
Also 0.5tb hard drive partitioned to different OSes..that's pretty good right :P

My desktop hasn't really changed over the past month or two..that's a first. Tho I have been fiddling with gnome pie a bit ._.

Some people would say .5 tb is bad, but really, what the heck are you doing that will take up a full TB???
So, really I could live with just 200 gb no prob.

Since I got my computer in the past 5 months, it has a TB though.
