What I wonder is if Windows 8.1 for desktops really brings back the Windows 7 style start menu?
making things flat really helps for saving space, because tiling wms like this look gross otherwise.

Kind of ot, but what's up with this flatness trend in graphic design lately? Here we are in the 21st century.. and we're making bright, loudly-colored interfaces that look like 3.1 themes without bevels or something. Edges and corners seem to mostly be aliased.There's even gtk themes picking up on it
