well i guess, but i have a dock too, really small in the top right hand corner and it hardly ever blocks stuff (it is there because i can have quick access to it when i am using a touchscreenpen.

yeah it's really small and useful, and it is quite annoying when it is big.
there are lots of options that can be configured, im sure that nearly everyone will find the right config for their desired design in rocketdock

Meh, I've tried docks and found that most of what I do is in only 1 or 2 programs, and my start menu has more than enough room for them. Plus, since it's a linux OS I can make the bar small enough to be unnoticeable.

Yeah, personally I think the quick launch suits my needs very well. Currently, I got mIRC, Photofiltre Studio, Starcraft II, Opera, Filezilla and iTunes showing up and there's also Trillian and Starcraft Brood War hidden there.

I personally use Launchy and have all my most used programs pinned to my taskbar so I don't need to run something else. although I should just use the start menu instead of launchy. Less overhead.

Just got this set up and thought i'd post.

This is my first attempt at a peaceful, minimalistic desktop  ;D

EDIT: Forgot to mention! Im using RocketDock with the Mac OSX Leopard skin. The first 4 icons are Chrome Canary, Chrome Dev, Halo, and Halo CE.
The rainmeter skin is ABP (its on the rainmeter site under downloads) and im running Win7 32 bit on a Toshiba Satellite L455-S5975

My new desktop. The background is Gullfoss, in Iceland. It looks pretty in the picture, but it's rather miserable in person.

i approve of your usage of the word "amine"
those icons are somewhat massive for my taste, though
currently, this computron looks like this\/ because i like messing with my family members

"Amine" is an actual word.
For example, one can hydrolyze the Amine functional group on AEAPS  :P

The icons sizes are just the Windows 7 default and I didn't bother changing them.

On a side note, moving the mouse around under that setting is rather hectic. X.x
