Nah, it's a Linux only thing, and it can actually move.

Edit: It's this program, specially configured.

It is pretty epic :P
I've been thinking about trying it out on my laptop, just need to figure out how to get it set up etc :P
Flash drive?

And as a tip, if you want to run Linux from a flash drive, use the old MultibootISOs from PDL. Booting up is a couple dozen times faster if you use it instead of their standard installer for some reason.

They replaced it with YUMI, though, and now it's just as slow as the standard USB installer.
Erm I'm running linux...I was talking about getting the desktop manager....>.>

You mean KDE? or just marble desktop? I can help somewhat with the first, but not the second.

Ugh....Unity *Shudder*
Nice for netbooks, I suppose. I still prefer GNOME, but hey, to each his/her own :P

For netbooks it's great, after all a full desktop doesn't really work that well for it.
I still like GNOME/KDE but this would be cool to try out.

This is a screenshot of Dissidia I made. I liked it so much I made it my background.
Trust me, it looks a lot better the official yellow Dissidia theme icons and my handpicked matching color.

Wow that actually looks pretty nice. Wouldn't it be a bit pixelated when stretched up, though? ???

It's a package: http://packages.ubuntu.com/maverick-updates/unity
Thanks :)
I wasn't sure if it was in the standard repository or not.

@DJ: Nope, 'cause that's the background for my actual PSP, the one I'm currently posting from with the busted disk drive. For all intents and purposes I have no computer of my own; it's fubarred. The closest thing I have is the family laptop, which is the only thing I can connect my calc to. Suffice it to say chances to use it are few and far between.
Edit: Hey, what do you mean, "actually"?

Hey Deep Though, I'm having issues getting things to actually display when I log in with a unity session, do you have any experience with setting it up at all?

I'm not surprised. Desktop managers often take some configuring before they'll start working, and packages, unlike OS installs, want you to do it yourself.

I've never had this issue getting a DE to work. KDE GNOME and LXDE have all worked pretty much out of the box for me. I only had to do a little work for LXDE to get it to show up in the KDM menu when I was playing around with it.

I heard Unity will be shipped as the default DE in the next Ubuntu desktop release.
