<a href="http://i29.tinypic.com/28jfwxg.png">Here is my desktop.</a>

Yes, I am a Ubuntu user, and yes, I actually play so much Pokémon Pinball that I need a launcher for it on my desktop. It is one of the reasons why nothing ever gets done.

Did you know that Xubuntu's implementation of Xfce actually uses more RAM than Gnome? (scroll down to "Simple comparisons") Even though Xubuntu aimed to be more lightweight, it became something of an oxymoron, just because they included so much robust software with it.

If you want a more lightweight Ubuntu derivative, look into Lubuntu. LXDE is not only more memory-efficient, but it also consumes less energy. Pretty ideal for green PCs.

Huh. I had no idea.

I'll probably try it out when I'm not being lazy (another reason why nothing ever gets done).

Linux is very good at pretending to be Windows.

I actually used to have some unusual stuff on my desktop when I was making my super mario world game.. here's my desktop plus some of the stuff that used to be there but now is in a folder (I just took some stuff out to show)

Loved this place, still the best producers of power metal, and sparked my dreams of coding.

Here are the GTK and Emerald themes.
I'll get the icon theme to you some other way, since it is 11 MB.
Take the final .zip extensions off the two files. You might want to take out the 'blarg' too, since that was to prevent a duplicate filename error.
The themes aren't mine, but they were redistributable to begin with and I couldn't find the sites I got them from.

Shoot, you should see <a href="http://www.ylmf.org/en/">Ylmf OS</a>.
It is basically an Ubuntu based Windows XP ripoff. It even comes with Wine.

Yeah, I've seen that before.
Why XP, I wonder? Vista and 7 look way better.

Mine is fairly cluttered (with me having three younger sisters and all).

I remember when I drew a picture of the infinity symbol in MS paint large enough so you could see it in the icon on the desktop.
Sadly, someone deleted it.  :'(

I personally prefer XP look to Vista. I like 7 better, though. It's also more customizable than XP without having to install crap that messes up your computer or comes with spywares..

For me, Linux is very good at being a Mac. Too bad there's no dock :( (I'm running it off of a thumb drive; that's why it's so clean.)
