I almost never use it. iTunes is literally the only program I ever run on Windows (except possibly IFE for web debugging), and that's because there are literally no good iPod managers for Linux in existence. (gtkpod I heard is the best one available, but it won't stop crashing.)

Why would you use a Windows VM for iTunes?

It's easier to set up than the Mac VM (which I have done in the past but am too lazy to do now) >.>

I use it about once every three months when I'm refreshing my iPod playlists.

ITunes doesn't run via wine, according to winehq

Just finished setting up my computer again with Xubuntu and Windows 8. Not dual-boot—Windows 8 is running in VirtualBox in Seamless mode :P

What XFCE theme is that? (Also, how'd you get the workspace widget that small (if that is it in the upper left corner)?)

What XFCE theme is that?
Numix everywhere (Numix theme, Numix window manager theme, Numix notifications) with a bit of tweaking (I changed the highlight color back to sky blue and added transparency to the panel and window decorations).

The background is actually the one in Windows in VirtualBox; the actual desktop wallpaper I'm using is the one shown below, which comes with Xubuntu 14.04 by default.
(Also, how'd you get the workspace widget that small (if that is it in the upper left corner)?)
What do you mean? It's the standard Workplace Switcher panel plugin set up with four workspaces and two rows.

The panel itself is 24 pixels high and one row, which I believe is standard.

By the way, XFCE comes with a drop-down terminal built in which is awesome. This is one of the two features XFCE has by default which I sorely missed on other distros (the other being screen zoom by Alt+scrollwheel).

Nice features indeed. I used Yakuake back when ran KDE. Now that I'm on a tiling manager I have no use for a Quake style terminal though. :P Also screen zoom is pretty useful, I'll have to look into it. Do you have compositing on ? With which manager ?

I also enabled a couple of keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+Alt+numpad) for tiling windows.

This and the whole 2x2 workspace arrangement thing are features I missed from Ubuntu with Unity, but it turns out enabling them in Xubuntu is simple enough.
Also screen zoom is pretty useful, I'll have to look into it. Do you have compositing on ? With which manager ?
It's just the standard XFCE compositor (not sure what it's called), which handles window decorations (shadow, transparency).

Yep, it's kinda hidden though. Just add a keyboard shortcut (Settings > Keyboard > Application Shortcuts) to xfce4-terminal --dropdown.

When the dropdown appears, there's a new settings panel where you can configure the drop-down's size, transparency, etc. I don't know why it's hidden away—such a nice feature!

[sorunome@sorunome-desktop ~]$ xfce4-terminal --dropdown
xfce4-terminal: Unknown option "--dropdown"

NVM, it is --drop-down

EDIT: And idk, i just use guake for now, which is pretty much the same thing-
