Ran a mile in bare feet
«

So, today, when I go to school, I forgot we had to run the mile.
Guess I wore to school.
Flip-flops.
Guess who couldn't make up the mile if I missed.
Me.
Guess who's black.
Me.
Jokes about slave feet were made.
But, I got an 'A' and ran the thing in 6:51.

Murphy's law at work.
Running in a beach for 10 minutes is harsh, too.
Specially after when in the day before you did 2 hard exercises (30 minutes each) and another one in the morning. And you still have 1 day of bi-training to go.

I hate running
Even if I am tall, my physical condition kinda hinders me. My sternum malformation causes my lungs to have less room for me to breath in and my mom used to smoke a lot when I was kid, which did not help too much.

Also, to comment on Galandros, I personally am scared of walking on a beach bare feet, because of idiots who break beer bottles on the ground, we don't see the broken glass under the sand then we get cut (and sometimes infected)

I'm pretty sure I would've made such a jokes too
don't get me wrong, I don't mean it wrong, I'm friendly but sarcastic in every way I can q:
Anywho, I hate running too. Thanks to astma, a small form of pectus excavatum, smoking a few years now, a general shitty condition PLUS not being able to produce fat, so barely having fat to convert to muscles..
Fuck yea, I hate running. Altho I do it sometimes when I get angry/sad/pissed. Just to another village and back xd

Yeah, I would not enjoy running if it was too painful because of some physical condition.
I have a sternum malformation, too but for my luck, it doesn't affect the lungs at all. (I have taken some X-rays to check)
But I have two bones that are salient in my chest which are not very comfortable when I lay in the floor sometimes.

You have to keep in mind that a lot of nerds, geeks and the average calc programmer is usually not a big sport fan, though, so inevitably, there will be a lot of people on these forums who are not too great at them or even running, too.

yeah, usually that is the case, for me I'm big into wrestling, but unfortunately, because I hurt my ribs, I'm probably not going to be able to wrestle ever again...

A couple years ago I met someone who walked the entire
Appalachian Trail
in his bare feet.

6:51?
That's pretty freaking good.
The Tarahumara have marathons that are like 250 miles, pretty freaking insane. (Their record is over 500 miles in about 48 hours.)
