I hate these so-called chiptunes. Someone just took the midi file someone else made and changed the sounds to simple waveforms. It sounds terrible in my opinion.

Gonna have to agree with Keoni here. That rendition was pretty meh.

The What is love vid was great though, and the guy "jamming" on the keyboard was awesome too. :D

Well that guy is doing Gameboy chiptunes (he uses the keyboard as a MIDI controller) and he's totally epic. :D
And on second thought (especially after watching that vid), I agree that the first Bohemian Rhapsody I posted was meh.

It seems like it's more than just GB chiptunes. I'm not sure what exactly all is going on there. I think hes using the board to play back some prerecorded back tracks as well maybe? Didn't really investigate further. His composition sounds good regardless.

Yeah I don't think all the tracks are Gameboy but the keyboard definitely controls it. He says he uses it as a MIDI controller so maybe he has a way to use the GB as a MIDI player.

*Edit* Most of the DJ stuff I've seen is Tracker based (as in using a tracker program to compose and playback on the gameboy). Not sure about midi. I'd guess not though. Not entirely sure either though.

Apparently there's a GB accessory/mod called the Arduinoboy that enables MIDI on the GB. There also seem to be an LSDJ one.
Also :

As a Star Wars fanboy I had to post it. :D

BTW his Daft Punk vids are epic. They should release a Gameboy album, that would rock. :D
