well on Wikipedia I read that he even no longer mind if people remix the song. He probably did enough money with it in the past and now that it got out of control with the rickrolling he doesn't really mind about copyright infrigments anymore (the reason why on youtube they don't delete rickrolls, altough they add a small add below)
