there was a shooting less than 30 miles from me right before school started....my physics teacher lives in the town where it happened.

Yeah I came home at lunch today and saw this on the news. This is truly sad. Not just due to the people who were mudered, but also because this happened at a school, which is often perceived as a place of safety. Where will we turn now?

What a n00b. :Ptongue.gif You gotta wonder what goes through the brains of smacktards like that. Seems like only one person has died though, so far. That sucks. Sucks they make the gun laws tighter too. Bad guys will still get their weapons, but then all the normal people won't be able to.

Many physiological issues can happen to a person like this, they could be bi-polar and have issues with family/relatives. I do agree it is unfair to make others suffer like this, but for some they can't control themselves.

Heh, Indiana is offering lifetime gun lisences for $125.00... Once I get the money up, I am getting mine. This way, if I am in the room where someone goes "Mel Gibson" (joke) they won't have a chance to hurt too many people...

hmm, we only need a gun permit for a handgun or coneald weapon. For rifles and shotguns, you don't need one. For a minor to carry a rifle/shotgun, all they need is a hunting permit.

here in germany, you need a license for every kind of gun. I like that. Less guns, less shooting. Simple as that.

personally I think gun permit thing doesnt make any sense. Even with laws everyone can buy guns online easily and they get through canada border like normal stuff, so ppl can easily get guns without registering them and getting a permit. I think helping person who are rejected or stuff like this before something bad happen is the best solution. this shooting could have been avoided a long time ago since the guy started changing 6 years ago according to news. No one seemed to notice

The scariest part is that the Beretta automatic (IIRC) he had was legally registered in Canada... more proof that all our gun registry has done is waste a billion dollars.
