Bravo!

Well solved! I am now also aware of the sensitivity in these forums or on certain topics so I know what I can and can not say. I had a tough time getting used to it, I always tend to play things by my own rules. Maybe that is arrogance, who knows...anyway it isn't appreciated here so I'll just adjust and I think I am getting better at it lately...

I now tend to re-read what I post alot more and if I am undusre about one or more sentences then I just add a warning in parenthesis.
I think I also have a better feel of where the borders lay on this forum, some forums are stricter on double posts for example and other forums are looser on it. In the same way some forums leave their members saying what they want and I myself did only just recently realize how nasty those places are, really. I know quite some fora in my native language that are being left nearly unmoderated and are therefore quite harsh...

It depends on what you want a neat forum but very strictly moderated or a very loose and free forum but therefore, most of the time, nasty and harsh...

Yeah the hardest part is trying to draw the line about what is allowed and what is not. On most TI forums you would not be allowed to flame and had to respect others opinions, but sometimes those rules were not enforced. I also saw rather narrow-minded and discouraging comments toward some people projects and the author would eventually disappear. Although criticism is the best way to improve, I think there are ways to say it in ways that won't discourage the author. However every forum has their own set of rules, so at some places they may be more loose on that. One thing we are more loose about at Omnimaga is swearing, though, and on IRC, the discussion is sometimes slightly NSFW :P. 5 years ago I could not find another calc forum that was both friendly and calc game-oriented at once, which is why I set those rules on Omnimaga like they are. Sadly, I kinda stopped focussing on this after my 5 months hiatus in 2007, people took bad habits as the community was going downhill then this, combined with other problems, killed Omnimaga, which is why the day I restarted, I promised myself to make sure it remains friendly. It has worked so far in overall. Of course it's inevitable stuff will happen, though, especially with a large userbase.

Of course with language barrier and text limitations, it makes things a bit harder, though. I, myself, accidentally offended people on the forums with some comments, before, because I misworded something.

It's a reference to the Matrix trilogy. Agent Smith is the bad guy in it.
