I hate to have to do this guys, but my activity on the forums and IRC are going to be down in the next couple of weeks I just sent in my laptop for warranty work to Gateway. For some reason, it seems the motherboard in the machine got fried, so they need to replace it. They said it should take at most 2 weeks to do, though I don't know if that includes shipping time also. I hope to come back soon with a vengeance.
Also, until my computer is back, I am putting Rivereye CMS is on hold, and I will try and do some Rivereye, The RPG programming while I wait to pass the time. If I am on IRC and if you want to know if I will be back, just CTCP version me, if I have my machine, it will be X-Chat on Vista instead of something else. I will try and get on from time to time on machines that I can get access to (school, parents, that sort of thing).

sorry to hear rivereye, I remember askin you on IRC what was up but you ddin't replied
, I hope you can get your laptop recovered, but on an other hand I wonder if it wouldn't be best to get it exchanged with a desktop PC instead? I know laptops are awesome because they're portable, but those things always seems to break after only like one or two years. In fact, in the past years i heard about 5 or 6 ppl having computer problems over here and it was a laptop all the time
I, personally, am NEVER EVER gonna buy a laptop.
At least I'm glad you're sticking around. I was getting worried you were fading out of the community as a whole in the past two or three weeks because you weren't active much anymore, even on Cemetech forums

Exchanged? I don't think you can do that. I suppose you *could* sell the laptop and use the money to build a desktop. Still, a laptop is quite useful especially in school. I can't very well bring my desktop to class everyday, hehe.
also... NO VISTA! It be 3v1l!

yeah, it is the reason I bought the laptop is that it is portable. Also, I will have all my data when the machine is back, they only plan to change the motherboard.

Probably because it was supposed to be "slight".
Glad you got your fried laptop back working, rivereye. I wish I had your luck with laptops (and you guys can probably guess why... :rage:
