O.O

I also saw that happen on Invisionfree, shortly after the old Omnimaga board closed. I kinda feel bad for TI-BANK, since they use a free hosting provider, thus, cannot get rid of ads (you get what you pay for).
I cant even /access/ the site O.O

I can, it works :S

I have found that using downforeveryoneorjustme.com is a great way to see if sites are down. That is, until downforeveryoneorjustme is down. I don't know why that is so fun to type. It's easy to remember too.

note, I'm not advertising a site, I have no affiliation to the site.  AlsotypingallyourwordstogetherwithoutaddingaspaceinbetweenmakesitreallyhardtoreadIdontaddanypunctationtomakeitlookmoredifficulttoreadAlsoifyoureadthisyoudeserveoneappleTypinglikethismakesmyheadhurtbecausemyfingerswanttopressspacesomuch.

isup.me is so much shorter to type :P
And that's awful, what happened on TI-Bank. So sad is the damage to the site's reputation those ads brought. :(

I don't feel comfortable in those websites, actually. Maybe TI-Bank will get a new host?

I don't know if they can, actually. I know I was sad when wikidot said that non-logged in people would have adds on their sites.

Yeah, I hate ads too. I don't exactly know why Omnimaga would need ads, except to make money. But ads, especially Flash ads, look ugly on a webpage and slow it down if they reload themselves, and would probably defeat their purpose. If Omnimaga needs money, they can always have Paypal donations or something. Even Ads by Google might work.

Well with some current events that I can't divulge ATM, we might need money.

Don't say anything about it then, because it makes us curious.

Well the real and actual reason is that it isn't certain I'm continuing paying hosting after October due to online events in the past months, which kinda frustrated me. I'm not really a person to ask anything in return when I help, but when I receive a certain level of crap in return, I tend to not want to help anymore. I don't like punishing groups of people for the actions of 7 or 8 people, but that's still $335 a year I spend from my pocket for everyone.

However, in the worst case scenario, if I stopped paying completely and that the other IRC channel ops could not afford the current bill, the site would simply be moved back to 1and1 and when we hit 200000 posts we would just archive the old posts on a second SMF board, in read-only mode, kinda like the TIGCC forums.

DJ, I'd prefer to have ads to getting files archived in a secondary forum. I mean, I wouldn't mind Google Ads, because these are nice and respectful. Some ads are 1366*768 10e1000 pop-up pages with p*rn images and links. But it's your decision.

There are 666 members, I think. If each person gave 1 dollar, we would get 666 dollars, which is quite good.

(Sorry for the Wikipedia-Like Thing). But I hope there was something we could do.
