Actually my little sister picked it up (probably thinking it was another lameo high school drama like she likes because of the name) but it's actually a really cool sci-fi story.
It's based far in the future where civilization as we know it has ceased completely as an oil-eating bacteria destroyed all the oil on the planet. The remainder of the human race lives in small, independent, self-sufficient cities scattered across the globe. All the people in the cities are under direct and total control of their government. Everyone undergoes a mandatory operation at age 16 or something that wipes out physical differences and makes everyone pretty by conforming to an ideal standard of beauty. However, (dun dun dun!) how you look is not the only thing the operation changes...
Anyways, it's got lots of actiony goodness and lots of uber stuff in it.
