IF they did the crime. are convicted beyond the shadow of a dought and a given the death sentince why should we pay to let them live in a cell for years before we give em a lovly dosage of painkillers then a lethal injection?

In it's current status, I find death penalty pointless in USA because it takes absurd amount of time before the criminal is executed. Thus, the government still waste lot of money keeping them in jail. If they made the justice system faster at least it would have more point. It's pretty cruel yes, but is it any more cruel than someone who cut a person in 1000 pieces and put her in a hockey bag in a colder?

lordofthegeeks, I recently made a post I deemed to insulting to leave on the forums and deleted it. Thought I'd let you know that I strongly disagree with you.

yeah, convicted murders need to be dealt with in a speedy manner. The lack of action taken gives criminals more confidence they can do what they want, and get put in jail so they can live better than a great deal of americans, and on our dime. Maybe it is time we load them all up, and ship them to antartica or something, let them do all the criminalistic stuff they want down there, for as long as they can survive...

It think you have waaaayy to much faith in our legal system. It's been broken for a long time.
Also, I still disagree with you anyways. Killing them just feels like stooping to the criminal's level if you know what I mean.
People shouldn't kill other people no matter how evil they may be.
...except in counter-strike

And in 50 years we go to see how they are doing and they reply, "What up, mates?"

except that some criminals just cannot learn since they have mental problems, and jails are getting full, so one day they'll have to free some people who got sentenced to life imprisonements and those people will kill again
But i guess it's up to everyone point of views. Personally the justice system is flawed and biased anyway *cough*Paris Hilton*cough*

Neither did I really, all I understood was a reference to the bible. As well, he says my views have been washed by public school Whatever, he's obviously already proven to me that I should ignore his viewpoint.
